Porcelain is a journey into contrasts, where fragility and strength exist in perfect harmony. The fragrance opens with the luminous sweetness of orange blossom, softened by a whisper of coconut, inviting you into a world that feels at once airy and intimate. At its heart, buttery orris unfolds—velvety, luxurious, and utterly unique—creating a tactile warmth that lingers on the skin like sunlight caught in silk. Woody petitgrain and earthy oak moss ground the perfume with the timeless elegance of a classic chypre, giving it structure, depth, and a quiet, enduring presence.
Crafted by indie American perfumer Cathleen Newsham, Porcelain is more than a fragrance—it is an experience. It is delicate yet unshakably strong, like fine china that holds both beauty and resilience. Each inhalation carries you through a serene dreamscape, where sophistication is felt in every note, and the lingering trail tells the story of artistry, refinement, and quiet power. Porcelain is a celebration of the subtle and the sublime, a scent for those who treasure elegance, individuality, and the tactile poetry of a fragrance designed to last in memory and imagination.

I appreciate the quality of CN fragrances. The scent combinations were not right for me since my chemistry is weird. I do well with light floral powdery notes and no musk, citrus or spice which a lot of fragrances have.
When I first acquired Porcelain, I was early on in my 'learning to appreciate an iris note' journey. I had kind of sworn off any iris that leans powdery or makeup like. I had disregarded Porcelain upon first sniff. Fast forward to half a year & atleast 50 samples later, I pulled this out and suddenly *I got it* an immediate swoosh of cold air carried ke through an iris field, pale blues and violets and Indigos. I smelled Porcelain an entirely different way. If you've ever smelled an iris IRL and felt it barely smelled, Porcelain feels like zooming in. Its chilled, waxy, and evokes a late gray spring evening meloncholy. This has become a favorite in this category. I think you have to have a hefty history with exploring Iris to truly appreciate this one but once you do, you really do just *get it*
